Webber Indepedent Helps Little Lives

Last week, The Webber Independent School in Milton Keynes handed over a cheque for £359.73 for the Milton Keynes Hospital’s Little Lives Appeal.

Year 11 students from the school set up a fundraising committee to organise and host several events throughout the 2012-2013 school year, which included: a recycling clothing initiative, Easter egg sale, a disco and raffles.

Vice Principle Hilary Marsden said: “I am incredibly proud of the students for coming up with the idea, seeing it through to the end and to be able to hand over a great sum of money to a wonderful local charity. Their spirit, enthusiasm and generosity is exemplary and a sets a precedent for the years below and to the rest of the school. Well done.”

Vanessa Holmes, Fundraising Manager at the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity said: “We’re so grateful to the Webber Independent School for supporting our Little Lives Appeal. Little Lives raises funds so we can offer the very best care for our tiniest patients and their families – from providing state of the art equipment to new furniture for our parents room. Supporters such as the Webber School really help us make a difference, so thank you.”
