Midsummer Place Announces Charity for 2012

Midsummer Place Shopping Centre has chosen to support Climb Your Mountain (CYM), one of Milton Keynes youngest charities, with fundraising activities during 2012.

Set up by Charlie Wardle in 2008, Climb Your Mountain (CYM) has helped hundreds of people in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas suffering from stress, depression, low confidence and low self-esteem through physical activity.

CYM will host a monthly event in Midsummer Place in an effort to engage with the local community and raise awareness about the charity’s valuable service, which supporters are hoping it will become an essential part of the charity’s growth in 2012. Visitors to Midsummer Place can support the charity at any of the many planned fundraising activities taking place throughout the year, the first of which will be on Saturday 14th January

Martin Hindson, Centre Manager said: “We are pleased to welcome Climb Your Mountain as our chosen charity for 2012. Climb Your Mountain has become an integral part of the community and we wish them all the very best with fundraising activities throughout the year.”

Charlie Wardle, founder of CYM added: “Everybody at Climb Your Mountain is extremely excited to have the support of the city’s premier shopping centre. The money raised through fundraising and other activities will make a huge difference to the lives of many people in Milton Keynes. We would like to thank Midsummer Place for presenting us with such a great opportunity.”
