Macmillan Coffee Morning

On Friday 28 September, Midsummer Place Shopping Centre will be hosting Milton Keynes’s biggest coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support; a fantastic event for everyone to enjoy.

Organised by Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS), the “Macmillan Mummy’s Morning” will be held upstairs in Caffè Italia; one of the many Macmillan coffee mornings taking place across the UK. On this day between 9am-12pm, there will be plenty of FREE entertainment for children and mummies PLUS 20% of all tea, coffee and cake purchases will go to Macmillan.

Throughout the morning, visitors can enjoy a lovely cuppa while helping to support the charity by giving a small donation for activities that include children’s face-painting, colouring competitions, cupcake decorating, and for the mummies, nail painting. There will also be a special children’s book reading from local author Robert Badcock of his novel ‘The Big Frog’ plus music for little ones. Mums need not worry about pushchair parking; there will be a safe ‘park and slurp’ buggy park outside Caffe Italia.

Graham Wheeler, joint Managing Director from VWFS said “We’re delighted to be involved with such a worthwhile event. With most of our workforce coming from the Milton Keynes we’re looking forward to helping make the Macmillan Mummy’s Morning as successful as possible.”

The Centre Manager, Martin Hindson is delighted to help host the morning, he said: “This is a well celebrated event for a fantastic charity that is dear to many people. We are delighted to be working with VWFS and able to offer the support of Caffè Italia.”
